Empowering Communities: The Gbessa Integrated Support Programme (ISP)
At One

Foundation, our mission centers on sustainable growth and rapid community intervention. In the heart of Sauka Airport Road, Abuja, the Gbessa community faces pressing challenges, from food insecurity to environmental changes. Through our Integrated Support Programme (ISP), we are taking direct action to build a resilient future.

Real change begins with understanding real needs. Following a comprehensive data collection exercise in Gbessa, we identified key areas requiring urgent intervention—ranging from immediate nutritional needs to long-term agricultural sustainability.
Through our primary community outreach, we successfully delivered targeted relief to vulnerable families. Our support packages included:
-
Essential Food Support: Direct food packs to relieve immediate hunger.
-
Agricultural Empowerment: Hybrid seeds provided to local farmers to encourage self-sustaining crop yield.
-
Maternal & Infant Health: Vital nutritional supplements distributed to mothers and infants.
Building Climate Resilience
Community development goes hand-in-hand with environmental stewardship. To combat rising temperatures and soil degradation along the Airport Road corridor, OneFoundation is integrating afforestation initiatives into the ISP. Tree planting efforts not only mitigate climate impact but also protect local soil for future farming.
Looking Ahead: A 10-Hectare Vision
The Gbessa outreach is just the beginning. This initiative serves as the foundation for our larger vision: establishing a 10-hectare climate-smart agricultural hub. Equipped with modern irrigation systems and solar technology, this hub will drive long-term food security and economic empowerment across the region.
“True empowerment isn’t just about providing short-term aid—it is about planting the seeds for sustainable independence.”
